It's like the boomer thing of 'electric cars will stop working in the rain, everyone knows water and electricity don't mix!' came true with this car due to the terrible design.

This was the car Musk promised would be able to cross rivers, lakes and small oceans.

It can cross all those things... If you are sitting on the roof with an outboard motor or some paddles to actually make it move after the engine dies, while also adding enough boyancy to keep it afloat.

Jeremy already did that and succeeded at crossing at least 21 miles of the English channel. Granted in a Toyota Hilux which is actually indestructible. It would have run after with only a chap and a bag of spanners and. A light fluid exchange.... Getting all the channel out of the cylinders .
