The events from 1933 to 1945 should have been combated by 1928 at the latest. Later it was too late. We must not wait until the fight for freedom is called treason. This feels a little defeatist. Oh no, it's too far along we should have stopped it years ago.

Never stop until fascism is stopped, no matter how hard it may become.

I see this all over the internet and in real life too. People don't engage, they just watch and comment. "Too bad we couldn't stop this", then they make memes about guillotines, but in reality nothing happens, as long as there is still food and a screen in front of them. Same with climate change. We went from "This isn't a big deal" to "Our species is fucked" in like 5 years. We fingerpoint, blame and don't change a single habit ourselves.
