Auto emissions are a theft of ownership instead of a measurement standard. It is one thing to say your vehicle must meet X/Y/Z metrics in a test. It is entirely different to say your vehicle must include A/B/C hardware. That is theft of autonomy, ownership, innovation, creativity, and open markets. It was one of the first injustices of our neo feudal dystopia.
