Nah its cool factorio guy doesn't HAVE to leave.

Just find an island, 100 stone for 2 landfill, and get to the island by picking up a landfill behind you and placing it in front of you.
You have eternity, so take trips off your island to mine things by hand, craft things by hand, etc.
Eternity awaits.
Yeah the only thing stopping you is the laws of physics which are seemingly different here. This could work.
I'm pretty sure you can't pick up landfill without mods.
In Spaceage you can.
No shit? Well hell, I gotta play more Space Age then, my current spawn doesn't have a lotta water so I haven't needed landfill, and I've yet to get to another planet.
