What happens when a user hits their storage limit? (lemmy.ca)

I guess this is more of a general Pixelfed question, but what happens when a user hits their storage limit? Pixelfed.ca has a 1 GB per user limit. Will the user be unable to upload new content or will content be automatically deleted?

I don't know if Pixelfed has support for it right now, but they might be open to adding it

As for what happens, I imagine it stops letting you upload new posts
