If they claim that Britain started WW2 then they imply that they supported hitler and the nazis. But that would defeat their justification for invading ukraine, which they say is their moral imperative to defeat nazism.

Well, they supported Hitler and the Nazis, up to the moment where they were betrayed and the war was already hot at that point.
