any veteran #pixel user here? i can't figure out a few things. first of all i went for 256gb model because i didn't want to buy a new subscription for storage, but now it appears that the google (linuxusers.in)

any veteran #pixel user here? i can't figure out a few things. first of all i went for 256gb model because i didn't want to buy a new subscription for storage, but now it appears that the google photos app is not letting me save anything on the photos app because i don't have any storage (maxxed out the 15 gb default)

If you open Google Photos, you can go to „Collections“ (bottom center) and then you should be able to select „on this device“. But yeah, I think it’s annoying to „hide“ local media to push users for cloud subscriptions.

If you want to stay with Google, you could look at Google Gallery, which should only display your local library - or use any other gallery app.
