Not sure what you're talking about, never experienced that in Lemmy links. I'll check this one later when I'm on PC

It does exactly the same thing when I click through on your profile link from Mastodon and click the top-most link under your profile

If you want to use the lemmy webapp you're showing in your screen shot, yes, you should register on lemmy. But you can definitely interact with lemmy posts without loggin o creating a lemmy account, as you're doing right now.
