I regret that my English isn't good enough to express how ridiculous this statement is. Government response is slow?! If so then why wasn't it slow at approving aid for Israel? And in the first plce these fuckers had 16 months and they did nothing with them except approve weapons shipments for Israel. That's not slowness; that's *complicity. People like Bernie did take a stand and had no support whatsoever.

Are you going to tell me you don't notice the momentum shift? I'd say roughly in the summer, July/August there felt like a growing energy that things might not go in Israel's favor.

That was all grassroots activism and public opinion. The number of federal officials who give enough shits about Palestine to do something about it is still roughly the same—a rounding error.

If you really feel like there was never an option at all ever, why not just terrorize your local government or leave the country?
