Which way will Dutton go, though?

I mean, the wrong way like he always does?

I don’t live in Australia anymore, but every time I check into the ABC lately it’s looking more and more embarrassing. This is the first time in a while Albo seemed to actually do something that showed some backbone, even though it was a token show of support.

I think Dutton admires some MAGA politics and ideals and perhaps even Trump but we don't have a presidential system and he has to retain the confidence of his party and parliament.

If the libs, foolishly, fell in with Putin they are going to face a shit ton of criticism from people with influence in conservative politics like Tony Abbott. Even with many moderates having left the party you would think a number would cross the floor to opposed us becoming another Putin puppet state.

I would prefer if we didn't take the risk and kept with the stability of the ALP for another term but it seems like that isn't likely.
