I live in Oakland, California. Our recently-former mayor was just charged with corruption for taking bribes to get into office by promising contracts to moneyed interests. I'd sure like a Bernie type of person in charge of my city.

Is CA deeply progressive? Sorta; it's viewed that way by a lot of people. Our AG is one of the ones fighting the Trump admin. Are we fucked regardless? I'd say yes. Your comment displays a lack of awareness of how bad things are.
