Muriatic acid will etch and corrode stainless quite effectively.
You should wear gloves and glasses when messing with the stuff. Don't breathe the fumes, they're chlorine.
I would think that a small paintbrush with the acid in a plastic cup would work well for any slogans you might wish to write on sheets of stainless.
You can find this at most hardware or pool supply stores as well.
It's 10 bucks a gallon where I'm at. That's enough for the three cunt trucks I've seen and clean my driveway. We'll at least oil stains.
Chemicals are often cheaper then you expect. A life lesson I guess.
