To me it seems like statements like this are just meant to provoke a reaction. There really are people who get their jollies from arguing, regardless what the argument is about or which side of it they’re taking.

They’re also known to guard bridges and demand tribute from travelers.

Also, I think people who love upsetting others suck.

I honestly think he believes what he's saying. He's gone down that like deep religion rabbit hole thing and he's enjoying being a total jerk to people in the process.
