The events unfolding right now are proof. The last I looked, the Lemmy instance isn't even advertised on the web site. It seems like an afterthought. There are a reasonably large number of people on this instance now, and things like this are bound to happen from time to time. I really do love the mission of SDF as an org, which is why I choose to put the stuff I make here. However, literal Nazi disinformation campaigns should not even have the chance to happen. We need an admin that is more accessible, maybe a second for off hours. I don't know. But if things like this can happen as is, it may be a reasonable case to shut the instance down. That is unreasonable, I know, but I am very angry right now.
SDF = Syrian Democratic Forces. I think they have their hands tied up right now.
Or if the admin is French: SDF = homeless person.
On a more serious note, what does the donation situation look like for this instance? Demanding more time from an admin is a little bit hard if people aren't donating and the admin has a life beyond the instance. Probably getting more people on board would be the solution, but that requires trust.
