When I read talking points like this, I think about: Who would they convince? I don't think many people honestly believe Democrats had a capable plan to fix these grocery prices in the first month of a Kamala presidency. Yes, Trump over-promised, and unfortunately, that was probably the right tactic.
I'm still not absolving voters for falling for such snake oil though. Sometimes when grandma clicks the "You have a virus" prompt for the 400th time you have to start blaming her.
Actually, the last important bit to me is who exactly is saying this. Recalling from memory, Elizabeth Warren once put forward a suggestion to require that 40% of a company's board be voted in by employees. It's very possible that with a less corrupt, profit-seeking corporate landscape we wouldn't be in this situation. So even more than Kamala she may have credit to blame others for such things.
Did Kamala/Democrats promise to fix the food prices? Followed your election and don't recall them saying that, it is possible I could have missed it
The reason Kamala lost is because nobody in the Democratic National Committee thought to say "We will raise your wages and break up the monopolies raising prices at the grocery store and the pump"
Because the main DNC campaign donors are Billionaires and Lobbies, and well, see, that would eat into corporate profits. The Republican Billionaires however are very very happy to lie to get exactly what they want. So Trump won. Because, and I don't say this lightly, 30% of Americans are greedy gullible morons. And our political system is so broken due to vote suppression and the ignorant fact that population center votes count for less than rural ones.

So this is the absolute batshit insane part of the Kamala/Harris campaign. If you looked through their published policy platform, yes they had plans to try and regulate corporate price gouging. However, they did not campaign on these plans, did not elaborate on those plans whenever the economy was brought up, and largely tried to deflect when asked about their plans by claiming the American economy is strong and had no issues.
Kamala had plans. Somebody told her to keep her mouth shut, probably because it would scare off the donors they were trying to court.
I don't like it when people blame those who voted for Trump, like "if you voted for Trump, you should die". In working democracy though, it would be possible to cancel election, re-count votes anyway, to right away impeach Trump, etc. like in Romania:
