Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing other users of being bots or paid actors.
- No memes, trolling, misinformation, or low-effort posts/comments (including reposts). If you see posts like this that anger you, do not engage. Report, block, and live a happier life than they do. Any slap-fight is subject to comment removals. Fights full of rule violations will result in temporary bans to cool off.
- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules and use critical thinking when reading, posting, and commenting. Users that repeatedly have comments or posts removed, weaponize reports, or violate the code of conduct, will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users. The reason(s) behind moderator action(s) are publicly available through the Modlog.

It's gonna get so much worse
We wouldn't be having this conversation if it were an unmitigated genocide because every Palestinian would already be dead.
Israel, courtesy of the US, has enough firepower to wipe out the West Bank and Gaza several times over. Yet it never happens. Why?
Perhaps, Netanyahu and his ilk have something to gain by keeping the conflict active.
But ultimately they want to take the territory. They dream of making Gaza, specifically its beach, a tourist destination.
Trump is going to help make all of this happen sooner than it would have. He wants peace in the Middle East to be one of his legacies and the quickest means to that end is to give Israel what it wants.
I'm Jewish. The Germans committed an unmitigated genocide for a long time, but here we are talking.
The definition of genocide does not require you to kill all of them.
Israel will never succeed in killing all Palestinians, and they still have committed genocide
The Holocaust was mitigated by the allied forces and their victory in WW2.
By that logic, every genocide was mitigated when it ended

The Holocaust was not a territorial dispute. Completely different situation. Also I would not call it an unmitigated genocide. It was mitigated by the efforts of the allied forces.

Sadly, territorial disputes can result in genocide, as we have seen in this case.
It's also interesting to see how quickly (in less than a generation) the victims of a genocide can become perpetrators of one. It says something, quite demoralizing, about humanity.
