What's going on with these people? Do they still think they are somehow fighting for the good/better side? Why are these guys not revolting? They are dead either way...the scene is just crazy. Like "So long guys, hope you can die quickly" waving goodbye

Well we have the Birdseye view on the situation so it is easy to forget that those people are indoctrinated since their birth and are busy surviving.

Their government took everything from the poor people but a believe. If that is everything you have you cling to that shit.

I don't want to excuse anything but the more I think about the thing the more I stop getting angry and become sad.

Sad that poor people once again are the thing that rich people throw against a perceived problem.

I think we can't comprehend the pressure those kids have in their back.

To be clear. I don't talk about psychopaths who enjoy to slaughter people but kids who got send to war without really knowing why.

Vietnam, ww2(Germans) and so on.

Shit is fucked and I can't express how devastated I am about the repeating patterns of violence in our history.

I mean you're right, it's just sad. But at least to me it does not look like they are "busy surviving" at all. It's more as if they've absolutely lost all will to survive. Which of course is also really sad but also quite incomprehensible. At this point, being even unable to walk, they have to know their chances are dire. Yet they just trot along...
