Sikh is talking about the importance of the Christmas message. I'm not sure what the problem is. Should all politicians espouse atheism? Should they refuse to acknowledge that Christmas is inextricably linked to the birth of Jesus?

Keep religion out of government by all means, but we should accept that many people in Canada, even political leaders, are religious.

People can be religious as long as it’s kept private

I think it is fine if they announce the same for kwanza, Ramadan, Dewali etc
