It is interesting that Lawson is not listed on the RBCA car now but Perez is listed on the RB entry.
I came to the comments for this. Incredible! What does this guy have to do to lose his seat?
I mean I like the guy but I think it's daddy's influence.
In any other case, he would've been gone. Red Bull wasn't great this year, maybe he used this as an argument. His experience will count. But if he hasn't had a few podiums after race 10, I think he'll be gone.
Remember, Red Bull is first and foremost a marketing company that sells stuff.
I suspect heโs there because Red Bull sells a lot of cans and merch in Latin America with him on the team, and also because Carlos Slim sponsorship is worth a lot.
I think they also know the Driversโ Championship is more important than the Constructorsโ Championship for marketing purposes.
I suspect theyโve done the math and know that heโs worth more to them on the team than someone who would be a better driver.
(Also it means they donโt have to worry about the number 2 driver challenging the number 1 driver ever. The cost is that they also canโt use him to defend against rival teams, but that hasnโt been a meaningful problem for them yet.)
It will be since Lando and Oscar are closer together at the moment. I don't think Liam would be a closer team mate to Max though. Yuki is also not there yet.
He is in the list, because the contract is not yet voided. Lawson not being at VCRAP is rather a hint that there will be still changes
