Maybe you're run across this recently in your feed. If not, a supporter for Stein said what others have been already. She never intends to win, she runs to be a third party. If she cared about the Green Party she'd be active for local support building between the Presidential election years.

She's a doctorate. Stein has very prestigious credentials. Look at how much money is spent on campaigns and the election and maybe you'll understand why grassroot efforts are challenging. It is better for her to create grassroot efforts by going all in and running for President, which is her prerogative to do so. She's put the effort in to follow the process to do so. Her supporters like me know she can't win. That isn't why I'm voting for her. It's because voting for her sends a message that Democrats haven't provided what we want in a candidate.
