I'm amazed how well the 1/2+7 rule of thumb works, it seems like it shouldn't match up so well with the limits of what I see as acceptable

The thing that sucks is every time I tell someone this shit in some circles I get flamed to hell. We need to fucking excise the prudes from the left.
