My parter wasn’t that interested in Arcane but after hearing her voice, she was in.

Okay so now im interested in Arcane. Is it any good?
Season one was a masterclass in storytelling and animation, and a solid criticism of the systems that create and maintain "order" by oppressing others.
Season two was entertaining, but it walked back a lot of the ideas the first explored. It was jarringly inconsistent with the themes and development of the first. But it was pretty to look at and had good music.
This is the best summary and review of Arcane. I 100% agree here. At least watch season 1, it's worth the watch and you really don't need to know anything about the lore of Legaue of Legends to appreciate it on its own merits.
Yes, it is fantastic and some of the best animation I’ve seen. The soundtrack fits it perfectly, highly recommend that too

I knew nothing of the lore previously and had zero issue following anything.
It's great but can be hard to follow at times if you aren't familiar with the lore
Does the show not cover the lore?
It does, but it fits a lot into two seasons and would probably have benefitted from being 3.
Mostly its a lot of 'twists' in season 2 that aren't actually twists if you already knew who the characters are, but definitely would have benefitted from just a bit more time to flesh them out.
Don't let that dissuade you though, it's still by far one of my favorite shows. The characters are all really interesting and compelling and it pulls on your heartstrings in a way very few shows manage to do (imo).
So whats the source material, i assumed it was a netflix cg original. If im thinking of the right show of course. I read light novels every day so im not opposed to going for the books over a show. I actually love watching something and then reading more since i can now easily put faces to names.
It was the same with the expanse, i started book 1 after my boss recommended it to me, then a couple days later he said there was a show so i immediately switched to that and then read the series.
Arcane is based on the lore for the game League of Legends (specifically the Piltover and Zaun area).
Uh that battle royal game? I mean instrest totally just dropped, but im not one to be totally put off by something like that. Thank you for helping me out, ill keep it on my to get to list.

This person means well but they're coming from someone who was already a fan. Take it from someone who hates that genre of game and hoped to never have to interact with it: the Arcane TV show is outstanding.

Best ever made..... You have no idea who you are talking too, granted its easy for you to not realize im an anime veteran. But their honest good will approach was what drew me into wanting to see it. Of course people who like something are going to want others to also like it. I in fact do not want to stop readding their comments if it means i have to only suffer through yours🤮🤮🤮

But yeah it's based on a video game. The game has surprisingly deep lore though, if anything I think they should make more shows about it.
I apologize then. Im just a simple person whos favorite games are souls like. But you didnt correct me on it being a netflix show, and i loved the cyberpunk show even though i never touched the game. So ill have some hope in this one aswell!
