What is the range of each of these bars supposed to represent? It seems that the right end of each bar aligns with the year that the movie takes place, but what is the left end of each bar? It would make sense for the left end to be the year that the movie actually aired, but that does not seem to actually be the case.
the splitting line is "current year" so the left is "years before now"
I found the original, from 2009. The vertical white line is "current year", so 2009. And yeah, the left of each bar is indeed the year the film released, the right is when the film's story took place. I thought the line was supposed to be 2000, so knowing it is actually 2009 makes more sense.
