Did you read the comment I replied to? They outlined their behavior, and it's explicitly the behavior of a bad HOA president.

That said, I think HOAs are a great example of an unworthy and unnecessary hierarchy that we've imposed on ourselves for no real benefit.

HOAs exist because old people love rules and imposing those rules on others. At the same time, there's a large section of the population that are lazy assholes who would never take care of their property if they weren't threatened with fines.
