Many years ago I encountered a 10yo who was homeschooled because he got into fights with other kids. Always struck me as a short-sighted solution in terms of his personal development.

Also his mother/teacher was grossly unqualified to teach, she was barely literate herself.

I think there areabsolutely situations where it works out better, but there are always going to also be ohio house of horrors types.
no one pattern fits all.
