I’ve already moved off it, Mastodon is a much nicer feel. In fact I try not to use anything Meta including WhatsApp.

I'm trying to cure my immediate peer group by introducing and promoting Signal over Whatsapp. It's an uphill battle.

how do i promote Signal for a family group without looking like an stupid AD? i hate whatsapp.

My family group decided to move when I spat the dummy after Meta decided to harvest all the contacts for WhatsApp users. Effectively they are the only ones I use messaging with but for getting others on is a long road.

Always have laughed at Zuck’s claim that Threads had such a large user base just after the launch. By all accounts , anyone with a Meta account became a Threads user.
