I plan on donating 40$ when I can, I am a broke pos lol. But my last post here was bringing up how there should be a few sponsors and having user based services that can be shown via a top banner and only the sites that users gravitate towards while also keeping the site open source.

I'm not saying that you should take in government sponsors like reddit did but there's a good middle ground to where you can have some sponsors that the users gravitate towards, that's why i suggested tuxedo computers, graphene and maybe even a third party store that's known for selling google pixels.

I'm not against the donation based open source ran motto, in fact every single time I've ever thought about running an online store with shop, I'd have a paypal donation box to help support the site.

I just saw what one open source user based site did to combat some of their issues while still taking in user donations and thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to emulate what they did but for this site.

The example I gave that pulled this off when they were having some struggles rather than solely relying on user donations was Future4200.com an open-source cannabis extraction forum that has expanded towards botanical extraction of medicinal herbs. Anyway, they use the discourse layout and they were facing an issue with the site and refuses to take in corporate advertising and most everyone there is on board with the graphene scene and all that good stuff.
