The only way to get news from my city utilities, mayor, or literally anything local is through Facebook. They do not have a website. Tons of small towns operate like this.
Why is my water brown? I'll have to log into Facebook to find out.
They don't have an office with phones? Like fuck that, I'm not signing my life and privacy over to that creepy pervert's panopticon just to be able to check when the town fair is or who's birthday it was on the town council. Or whatever goes on in small towns. I feel like there must also be a newspaper or something?
