Israelis cannot co-exist with humanity. The entire concept of “Israel” must be abolished and dismantled. They’re not going to stop their genocidal project once they’re done with the Palestinians.

If this is what they do in the open who knows what kind of evil they’ve done in the shadows? Absolutely vile demons.

[–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 16 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

Fundamentalist Judaism is horrifying. They want "Greater Israel". They think they are The Chosen People. They'll never stop.

Fundamentalist Islam wants to rule the Earth with Islamic law, with fire for all that will not submit to their superiority. They'll never stop.

Fundamentalist Christians want Jesus to come back and murder everyone else on Earth for them (so that they can rule the world). They think they're better than you. They'll never stop.

p.s. I encourage everyone to read the Tanakh/Bible/Koran and see for themselves, and to listen to what fundamentalist rabbis, priests, and imams are saying today.

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I understand you're saying that Israel cannot co-exist with the rest of the world in its current state and agree wholeheartedly. However, I would caution you to be careful with how you express it. Saying "Israelis cannot co-exist with humanity" can easily be mistaken by an honest person as a call for the extermination of the people living in Israel rather than the government that makes them Israeli.

We're constantly having to deal with people falsely acuusing us of antisemitism for opposing Israel's genocide. We can't afford to be sloppy with our words and give them ammunition to use against us.

[–] locahosr443@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (3 children)

According to the people who seem to be defining the term, anti Zionism equals antisemitism.

I get what you're saying and also wish no ill on the non nazi Israelis. But they're gonna scream antisemitism at anyone who won't at least send them more munitions either way. These aren't sane people.

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 21 hours ago) (1 children)

There's dishonest people defining it that way, yes. And those people will pounce on poorly worded statements like "Israelis can't co-exist with humanity" as point to it as a call for the extermination of Israel's citizens and civilian population, and they will use it to convince honest people that it's our goal.

When fighting dishonest people, you can't afford to make stupid statements that give their lies cover.

[–] locahosr443@lemmy.world 4 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah im not disagreeing at all, just noting thats inevitable at this point since its the dishonest people in both media anf politics that warp the term to cover anything they need it to in the moment.

Just look how starmer used that exact play to eject anyone not right wing from the labour party in the uk.

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I don't care if evil monsters call me their enemy. I consider that a badge of honor.

I do care, however, if my own words can be used by those same monsters to mislead good people.

[–] locahosr443@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

Yeah thats a good way to put it

[–] Felis_Catus_Domesticus@lemmy.world -2 points 23 hours ago

These aren’t sane people.

Neither side scores highly on the scale for pragmatism or reasonableness (or peaceful intentions towards their opposites..). The idea that the Israelis will simply give up their land + country and leave the region is absurd. Those who unbendingly insist upon it, well, I question their sanity too. Possession is still 9/10 of the law in internaitonal politics. Even today, after having all of history to look back upon. Often convoluted legalistic moral arguments on the Arab side have also accomplished little in 80 years as far as gaining Arabs/Palis international support for their wishes and demands.

anti Zionism

Is there a way to be anti-zionist without practically wanting all jews to leave the area where Israel currently is? It's about wanting to dismantle the country known as Israel, isn't it?

edit I asked the question, but it was of course rhetorical. Anti-Zionism is exactly wanting to dismantle the country known as Israel, not giving a fuck what happens to the people living there as a consequence.

Is there a way to be anti-zionist without practically wanting all jews to leave the area where Israel currently is?

There could be an argument for a return to 1947 borders that includes full demilitarisation.

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Zionism is the support of a Jewish/white supremacist apartheid state.

I am an anti-Zionist. I don’t think apartheid ethnostates should exist. That is not the same as saying “I think all Jews should be run out of the historical land of Palestine.” It means I believe in equal opportunity and governance for all people, regardless of their class, ethnicity, gender, religion, or lack of religion.

[–] abc@suppo.fi 0 points 10 hours ago

I don’t think apartheid ethnostates should exist.

This seems to me like you should be opposing Palestine as well.

[–] locahosr443@lemmy.world 1 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

You could look at it that way, but countries have come and gone throughout history. However they got there, they are there now, if they would peacefully coexist in the area, then it was Zionism that put them there but they would no longer be practising the murderous expansionism of Zionism.

The problem is thats not gonna happen without some kind of reckoning, and even if that were to happen, the reparations due are incalculable at this point

[–] foenkyfjutschah@programming.dev 1 points 6 hours ago

erm iirc the it was a full-fledged extermination policy in Europe and mass expulsions from Casablanca to Isfahan that brought the bulk of jewish Israelis there.

[–] abc@suppo.fi -1 points 1 day ago
[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The same thing happened during the German holocaust - it was far worse than everyone knew until after the war.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 22 hours ago

At least that's the narrative that emerged post-war.

Personally, I find it hard to believe that nobody knew.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Yup and they learned the lessons well. Not so that they could avoid them. But to improve upon them.

[–] qarbone@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (4 children)

My question is: what to do with them?

You can't break them up and disperse them. We tried that with Nazis after WW2 and that just seeded Nazis everywhere that formed cores for Nazi sympathizers to rally around.

Probably not great to lock them up in the country, like Cuba, either. It won't fix their cancerous ideology...and most of their land is stolen.

Really, any actions will only fuel their persecution complex, and they'll weave that into the indoctrination they install into the following generations of Israeli.

[–] just_an_average_joe@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

Europe should let go of some territory to relocate israel. The whole problem started cuz of europe's antisemitism, they should pay for it. Besides, europe needs educated people who can work, who's better than 'imported europeans' from palestine?

And europe would further benefit from IDF's strong military capability against russia. Iron dome, david sling and others would be defending against russia drones that keep coming into EU territory.

This would also mean that european nations won't have to spend so much money for militarization thus it would boost EU economy.

And we shouldn't forget, israelis also look european so chances of racial clashes would be low + plus EU countries have been educating themselves about anti-semitism for generations.

This would literally solve all of the problems.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Israelis wouldn't just agree to up and move en masse. A major part of the issue is that all three Abrahamic religions claim to have a divine right to that specific land.

[–] just_an_average_joe@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

What happens when someone overstay their visa in any country? They get deported forcefully. Why would it be any different here?

And those 3 religions lived in peace for generations there before israeli state.

Palestine is not a religion issue, its a colonial one

[–] qarbone@lemmy.world 0 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I believe the IDF's "military capability" is largely subsidized by the US sending nearly-unconditional aid, and because of their ideology riling them up for their chance to shoot civilians during their stint in military service.

I do think forcing the West to bear arbitrary reorganization of their borders, for once, would be "funny." But who is going to force them to when neither the Israelis nor any European country would want that? The West could have enforced the Israeli project on the Middle East (even if Zionists weren't salivating for the chance to colonize the area) in lieu of Jewish support.

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

We divest and sanction the state of israel, like we did with apartheid South Africa.

By we, I mean the world, but I believe it is important, for a myriad of reasons, that the US be the one to immediately begin and lead this charge.

[–] abc@suppo.fi 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

My question is: what to do with them?

You can’t break them up and disperse them.

Yeah, those are the questions many people ask about Palestinians, but somehow only in that case people seem to understand that it's immoral.

[–] Mrkawfee@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

Germany was de-Nazified but a better model is South Africa. They estiablished truth and reconciliation commissions to drew out the poison of apartheid and the same can be done with the toxic, murderous ideology of Zionism.

[–] qarbone@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Who are these 'many people' trying break up and disperse Palestine, except Zionists? "Let them get their country back" is what you 'do' with them.

I'm not sure what you're saying here at all, particularly because "that case" is indefinite. Whose case are you referring to: the real apartheid of Palestinians, or the hypothetical dissolution of Israel?

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

If we designate them as a war crimes nation and make funding them toxic and illegal, the problem will just take care of itself. The money and support is how they exist at all. I'd be massively against allowing war criminals into the US as refugees.

[–] qarbone@lemmy.world 0 points 23 hours ago

Quoting a different one of my comments in this thread:

You're just recommending the same course of actions that the US North took against the Confederacy. And we see how well that worked out for stomping out their noxious belief today.

If you just board up the building bigots spewed out hate from without stopping the people with bad thoughts from propagating them, then they'll set up shop somewhere else. You have to dig them up by the roots.

But killing people for "bad thoughts" isn't a great road to start walking down. So we arrive back at my original comment.

[–] Auli@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Abolish the country stop funding them. If they form pars military groups to try and keep/take it back treat them as the terrorists they are. Hell just stop funding them would be a big hit.

[–] qarbone@lemmy.world 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

We are clearly talking about different things.

Obviously, you stop funding them but that doesn't fix Israel.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works -2 points 23 hours ago

But killing people for "bad thoughts" isn't a great road to start walking down.

No no, you see the Nazi problem will just solve itself. Like it did after WW2... wait a minute that problem didn't solve itself... also we're dealing with Nazis everywhere in modern day... hmmm...

Surely the 'obliterate Israel' crowd has suggestions for a solution, right? No, no - not that kind of solution. Surely.

[–] Felis_Catus_Domesticus@lemmy.world -2 points 23 hours ago

They’re not going to stop their genocidal project once they’re done with the Palestinians.

Eh, Israel is a very small country. They are currently about tapped out for manpower and military resources. Isreal is hardly large enough to threaten the world with much of anything.
