Yea, earphones aren't going to make a difference, or maybe you shouldn't drive with a radio on? Or that the sound deadening in the car doesn't already block most of the sound outside the car.

Not only is it illegal in several countries, it is also proven to negatively impact attention and reaction times.

Here's the problem: if we gave a shit about safety, we'd get pretty close to banning cars.

This is like complaining that the internal walls of the titanic should have been a few centimeters higher.
