Gemini can't set timers, make reminders(can't connect to "device assistance" with all privacy-invading bullshit enabled).

Is there any other mobile OS that does simple voice commands?

All I want are timers, alarms, date reminders, and apparentlysndroid can't process those anymore.

I'm currently trying to find an alternative as well. Samsung has bixby but i haven't had the chance to look into it yet.

Maybe Dicio but I also haven't had much of a chance to investigate that one either.

Thank you! I tried Gemini before, it was terrible, switched back to assistant. Unceremoniously it's been erased from my system, no warning or rollback and now gemini is useless!

I'll look into bixby and dicio, i appreciate the points in the right direction, i am shocked google is forcing a new assistant on us that can't set timers or alarms, the only google features i used to use.

Little more info on Dicio. It looks like its open source and completely on device which is nice. However, its timers appear to be internal to its own app. It doesn't seem able to set alarms or reminders at this time either.

So I don't think its one that will work for me at its current state.

Thanks, i checksd Dicio out but my timers that I set just went straight past zero and started going into negative numbers and never let out a chime or anything when the time had expired.

Still, I'm glad to know there is some app with a wake word out there.
