It's pretty different from that one and unfortunately not on this sale at all, but I presume that you're already aware of Project Zomboid. People get hundreds to even thousands of hours out of it, plus it's a great co-op game.

It looks interesting but I've yet to find a crafting-style game that has managed to stick. I wish these types of games appealed to me but I think I'm stuck in the narrative and roguelite genres with the occasional racing/rocket league game.

That's fair. If it helps, the crafting aspect of Zomboid is only a fraction of the game. The depth and atmosphere are amazing.
