Plan B if there's no custom ROM for your phone:

  1. root and install App Manager (F-Droid)
  2. rip out play services
    1. Replace stock apps nagging about missing play services with FOSS alternatives
    2. flash microg if some of your favorite apps insist.
  3. install Aurora
  4. Choose your updates
