I'm beginning to notice that greentexts are about more mature topics nowadays. I feel like users of 4chan are less angsty teenagers.
I mean they still address rather unique situations but there's more nuance and depth and generally strangely an acceptance of gender fluidity, or at least finding love regardless of it.
I conclude that it's all fake and gay

People always seem to try and characterize 4chan as a homogenous userbase, but it's possibly the only place on the internet where transphobic and trans-porn posts sit next to each other

Clearly you haven't been to 4chan in at least 5 years, if ever. /b/ nowadays is 100% porn; posts like these I have not seen since forever.

Yeah no. Back in 2009 there was maybe 30% porn, but lots of actually random threads. Nowadays it is really 100% porn.
I haven’t been there since 2009 lawl. Prior to that, it was a ton of porn, a lot of hentai, very little furry. Usually a gore thread on the front page at any given time. Lots of attempts at humor, and a few that actually worked. The VERY occasional real-life thread, other than “camwhores.” I loved Midnight Snacks; Snacks done learned me some great music back in the day. I loved the wordfilters—my partner and I still use some of them with each other.
It's all fun and games until you happen upon a gif of a German shepherd getting hit in the face with a shovel.
