I have a really physical job and I have been seriously struggling to actually capitalize on weight distribution. According to a web calculator and some gym people I talked to I need a daily intake of 3100-3400 calories to actually put on weight. I don’t know how I could eat that much physically and financially. I’ve been trying to up my intake and eat lots of ice cream, but I’m so used to eating like 1800 calories and I’m essentially not hungry for the day by like 2400.

Update:

I just counted today’s calories:

  • 100 - dd coffee
  • 110 - dd hash browns
  • 540 - dd egg sandwich
  • 400 - aldi calzone
  • 220 - protein shake with whole milk
  • 480 - 4 aldi swiss rolls
  • ———
  • 1850 - total

I dunno how I’m gonna squeeze another 1300 calories in. Maybe I’ll drink 7 protein shakes tomorrow.

I’m glad you were able to recognize those habits, get a handle on things and lose weight. It sounds like it was a serious struggle for you. I hope you’re more proud of the achievement than how embarrassed you sound writing about the struggle. <3

I don’t think I’d be able to do that anyway. Poverty brain makes me very cheap and I have serious money anxiety. Not to mention I just can’t eat that much before feeling sick. I wish I could eat tiramisu 24/7, but it costs like $15 for a block of it and my stomach cant handle any more than that in a day anyway. Even if I did eat an entire tiramisu every day, it still wouldn’t be enough calories to get where I need to be. I walk about 10 miles a day while carrying weight.
