As we're seeing with Ed Sheeran, people are under the misapprehension that not taking a "side" is the more comfortable position. The reality that 'silence is still speech' hasn't yet sunk in for them.
Crazy take given that the moral of this post is that we should vote for a democratic candidate that doesn't want to do shit about Palestine if they're our only option. How can you get it so twisted?
Sheeran is not taking a side on Palestinian genocide, exactly as Kamala refused to do and exactly as whoever the next nominee is will refuse to do. And you're saying that the lesson we need to learn from the Sheeran debacle is somehow to do exactly what Sheeran did by voting for people like that?
