The is the problem I have with Labor supporters in Australia. They'll so often criticise the Greens when they vote against Labor policy, claiming they're "voting with the Liberals", ignoring both the very good reasons the Greens have for opposing the policy, and also the fact that Labor votes with the Liberals far more often. When Greens vote with the Libs it's usually because Labor came out with milquetoast rubbish that won't accomplish anything (while the Libs oppose it because they're opposed to everything). When Labor and the Liberals team up it's usually to pass fascist overreach. But somehow it's only when the Greens vote with the Liberals that it actually matters to Labor supporters.
(Context: "Liberals" are actually our right-wing party. Labor are usually called centre-left and thus are the best stand-in for the "liberals" in the meme. Greens are the genuinely left-wing party, with elements of them ranging from true centre-left to actual leftists.)
Also you’ll notice how it’s always the Greens fault for not aligning with Labor and never Labor’s fault for not following Greens policies.
Even when Labor is just implementing a watered-down version of policy the Greens have been advocating for years, Labor fans refuse to give them any credit.
