The only problem is having to buy it blind. You can't examine out and see what, if anything, is wrong with it.
Mind you, as others have said, this isn't someone selling something they used to you, it's a return. It may have been used, it is possible. It just isn't likely.
Besides, used bedding needs a wash, that's it. You gonna turn your nose up at granny's quilt when you visit someone's house? No. Because the assumption is they've washed it. If you buy damn near anything like that, even new, you can wash it just the same as you would anything you already bought, and it'll be just as cootie free as the stuff already on your bed.
It ain't underwear. And even that isn't some kind of health risk once washed properly. It's just icky.
I mean, if this mildly irritated you, it's a good post. Just not sure why something you aren't obligated to buy would irritate you. Since its also ick the ick factor that keeps it from being as good as anything used ever is, I'm not even sure irritated is not an over reaction to just being presented the option
On some other items it was selected by default, in worse condition as well.
I don't trust some stranger I never met before to meet any standard of clean and hygienic. In contrast, I do trust grandma, especially because if she shits on my bed we'll be having words. Can't have words with the previous owner of my second-hand Amazon return item. Since words cannot be had if the unspoken bedding rules are broken, therefore, I refuse to take that risk.
I think I fucked up that whole paragraph but I'm pretty tired sorry
Edit: also it was more like mildly horrified but I don't think that community exists. Infuriated is close enough on the emotional spectrum if you squint.
