That's not being fair. I've been in several jobs that didn't.
I think they mean that any job can do that to a person, not that it will
It is fair. I have had MULTIPLE jobs that had me crying in the car before work nearly every day. Ranging from $7 an hour to more than $50 an hour. Toxic work environments that trigger these intense emotions is not all that rare. I'd say I'm the common denominator in these situations but I am known to be a very pleasant person to work with (I strive for this because it often makes work life 100x easier lmao). I could be delusional but I really don't think it's me. Unless being too nice is the reason I get into these situations BUT I DIGRESS. I'm genuinely happy you haven't experienced this because it's extremely difficult and destroys your mental health.
I'm sorry you had multiple jobs that did this to you.
You shouldn't let that make you feel like it is the norm that any job will do to you.
Unfortunately I live in a state that is very uh... "Family oriented" or "traditional". I'm not very welcome in my line of work. 90% of the time I'm the only woman. Lol, I figure I just have to deal with it and prove them wrong.
Good for you, never worked a job that didn't absolutely suck in various ways, I guess for now at least I'm making enough to be comfortable.
