I hate the idea that giving money back can just fix things. If the guy paid for all you can eat then is stopped halfway though but given his money back literally no one is happy, instead of a nice (if massive) meal as planed he has been put though a bad time and the restaurant just lost food for nothing.

Same with shit like amazon, you buy a thing wait for it and then after a month they go "oh well" and give you your money back like it "undoes" the time you spent without the thing you bought but never got, the frustration or even the time without money.
