Wasn't there some issues with telemetry data flowing to Russia or something? I never looked into it as I didn't need an audio editor since I've read that. Is that still an issue (she was it ever one to begin with)?

Not sure why this is getting down voted, because it seems to be a genuine question. Yes, it was a real issue, and as far as I know, it still applies in this new release.

Audacity is owned by a Cyprus-based company, so I'm not sure. I'm still waiting for an answer regarding their privacy practices, myself.
