My neighbor believes it helps her ADHD and quit taking those meds.

That's weird I feel more ADHD than ever.

I switched off vyvanse to Adderall because vyvanse was mostly for BED and wegovy is kicking BEDs ass. Adderall used to be much better for focus/concentration/prioritization/organization/etceteration. But now? I don't think it's working.

I thought I had anxiety for years but actually it was unmedicated ADHD and a bonus side effect is that my food noise is completely gone. I've lost 12lbs so far 😎

She had a really bad blood sugar episode and ended up in icu and she started ozempic a little after that. Said her sugar is more level than it's ever been and her brain too. Think those are probably more related than she realized.

I think a lot of people think they have ADHD when they really have roller coaster blood sugar or very high A1C.

And I’ve come to believe this based on lived experience. I now think a small percentage of the uptick we have seen over the last few decades of people believing they have ADHD, or getting diagnosed with it, is due to this.

People should probally be screened for metabolic issues when they are being assessed. Especially if they are coming to it as an adult.
