Conspiracy theory since the BLM is selling rounded up wild horses to buyers and then those buyers are suspected of selling to slaughter houses. Meanwhile the administration is waiving tariffs to import lean meat trimmings without specifying the source countries. The theory is those two things are directly linked.
Article on the Horses
Black Lives Matter is selling wild horses?? Seems off message, but go off I guess.
Feel like you are being sarcastic, but if not in this sense BLM is Bureau of Land Management.
Me over here really wondering what horse brisket tastes like. Can someone make that one real so I can live out my dreams.

"sweet, rich, superlean, oddly soft meat, closer to beef than venison"
Just go to the butchers shop and buy some?
It's illegal to sell horse meat in the US.
wtf ... why?
They're classified as an 'amenable species' which basically just means that they're kind of exotic but close enough to more commonly eaten animals that they should follow the same standards for safe processing and consumption and be subject to the same inspections. With that though, there isn't anywhere left that could actually process them to that standard.
It's also generically illegal in several states due to individual state laws.
