Wow, the gf is a massive bitch for leaving him during this absolute shit show

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 21 points 3 days ago

Maybe their relationship wasn't on a firm foundation if that broke them up.

Evaluating a person based on a single fact about them is the kind of keen, thorough, analytical thinking that gives me faith in democracy!

He was in jail for a week, go back to reddit if your going to be this snide.

[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Wow. We know absolutely nothing about their relationship, like at all, and I'm the snide one.

"them is the kind of keen, thorough, analytical thinking that gives me faith in democracy!" This is snide, yes.

Leaving your partner during a false acuusation and not taking his word over it and not waiting for a full conviction show how little she cares for him. Kind of a douchey thing to do.

She didn't wait for proof and your the one complaining about people being quick to judge?

[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

I stand by what I said - she couldn't know it was a false accusation at the time. We have no idea what their relationship was like - for all we know she could have seen this as one more in a series of lies he told. I'm not saying that's what happened, I'm saying WE HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA. It makes no sense to characterize a person based on a single bit of third- or fourth-hand information you see somewhere. It's sloppy thinking, and I'm done wasting time with you. Have the rest of this inane argument by yourself.

If you found out the person you were dating was a criminal (according to the authorities), would you stick around?

[–] lena 10 points 3 days ago

"stealing" from banks is pretty based so yeah

[–] Smaile@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Under an acuusation? No, needs to be proven first before anything.

[–] JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

At least until a conviction, yes.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 3 points 3 days ago

If they're being accused of defrauding banks... Maybe?
