The OP is about a crazy rando in the wild making the “joke”, not making the joke themselves.
He reposted it in this sub. What was the purpose if not for amusement?
Not amusement at the idea that all Jews are good at making money. Amusement at the idea that someone would say that on a dating app.
In the case of the parent comment here, the amusement is supposed to come directly from the stereotype.
It’s a matter of first person vs third person perspective. “Haha I’m racist” vs “Check out this racist over here.”
Fair enough.
