The 2nd argument (anthropic + okam razor).
As you said, to support life, the planet must be at the right distance from sun. It should also has a Jupiter like shield to protect her from asteroids. It seems tides also had an impact on earth, so it needs a moon. Then, its solar system should be at the right place in its own galaxy. Too close to center and it will receive too much cosmic rays. Too far away and it doesn't work either (don't remember exactly why). It should not be close to black hole of neutron star, etc... There are so many requirements that statistically life is very unlikely to appears.
But, if you take anthropic principle (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropic_principle), there are maybe lots and lots of other universe, but we live in this one because we can live in this one. If we combine this principle with Okam razor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_razor), we live in the simplest universe in which we can live. So probability of life is so fucking small that we need a 90 billions light years universe to have a single planets able to have life.
Maybe there are 2 or 3 other planets somewhere with life form, but my opinion is life is not something widely spread in our universe. And we are probably the only one in observable universe.
Your argument has shifted from "We are the only life in our universe" to "There may be 2-3 other planets with life, but we're probably the only one in the observable universe", so that's progress.
I don't think anyone's arguing that life is common, but even just the observable universe is estimated to have around 200 sextillion planets in it, so it can be an immensely minuscule probability and still have multiple occurrences. You sort of address this in the OP but call on Occam's Razor as the explanation; that isn't really backed up at all by any scientific principle that I'm aware of. Occam's Razor isn't intended to explain things like the structure of the universe, and applying it here isn't using it correctly. And unless I misunderstand it, the application of the anthropic principle here explains why the universe we observe has the properties necessary to support life (because if it didn't, we wouldn't be here to observe it); that in no way suggests that we're the only life potentially observing it. In fact, I'd interpret it the opposite way: This universe has demonstrated that it has properties that can support the creation of life, so there's probably multiple instances of life in it. There may be other universes where life is impossible, but it is demonstrably possible in this one.
Yeah, clearly there are no scientific evidence, that's why I post it really as an opinion.
What I understood from anthropic principle and other sources is, either our universe has been fine tunes, either it is one among billions of other universe.
If some "god" fine tuned the universe for life, he would have not over design it, and would have created the simplest universe where life can live. Well, that's what I would have done 😅
If our universe is just the one over billions where physical constant are compatible with life, statistically, simpler univers would appear first. The more complex the universe is, the more complex it is to makes it compatible for life. It life can appears in a universe with only 3 constant and one galaxy, I think we would live in this universe instead of ours.
