My favorite early model for Atoms the plum pudding model! Is it wrong, yes, but so is basically every other model.

I was actually taught this in 7th grade Earth Science (late 70s). I could never understand why they used that analogy. I have yet to this day ever had plum pudding, and why on gods green earth would you ever put plums in pudding in the first place?

Because you're British and one of the many, many things you call "pudding" is a substance Americans call "fruitcake."

In german it's called the raisin cake model (Rosinenkuchenmodell). Still, the same problem, why would you put raisins in a cake?
