So I finally got into tiling window managers and tried out hyprland. I spent quite a good amount configuring everything and there is still a hell of a lot more to do, but I am already loving the matching colors and the general look and feel.

Looks good. What's that music player you're using?

Also do you have any cool binds? For example I have a bind for switching my audio output from speakers to headphones, it's so useful.

I use Navidrome as a music player. Currently I still font have a dedicated server, so the instance is just running locally.

Regarding my keybinds, here are all keybindings I configured:

  • Print: Take a screenshot of the current active monitor
  • SHIFT + print: Take a screenshot of the selected region
  • CTRL + Print: Take a screenshot of a window
  • mainMod(Super) + C: Colorpicker
  • mainMod + E: open Emacs
  • mainMod + SHIFT + leftarrow/rightarrow: Move a window to another monitor
  • mainMod + ALT + leftarrow/rightarrow: move an entire workspace to another monitor
  • Pause - activate the lockscreen
  • SHIFT + Pause: logout
  • CTRL + Pause: shutdown
