I agree totally. The very concept of faith is accepting something without question. There's no way this doesn't harm critical thinking abilities.

People disconnect religion and reality. Many physicists at Los Alamos believed in God...kinda.

of course not, they were scientists, but in the 1940s you could not be an atheist and allowed to work on the Manhattan project because US military equated atheism to communism. So a lot of people lied.
