- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Got it, thanks. What leads you to believe that the neoliberals will not have their finger on the scales in the next presidential primary?
That the current DNC chair was the state party chair of Minnesota for a decade with a proven track record of doing so...
That the way the neoliberals controlled politicians and entire state parties was withholding funding thru the victory fund and the current chair has immediately and without strings dumped that money back on the state parties...
That the current DNC chair said Mamdani is the type of candidate we need for president both in policy and charisma...
And a bunch of other reasons.

The reason why we keep winning special election is with the funding from the DNC, everywhere has been operating at campaign levels for a year and a half.
Normally that's only for 2 maybe 3 months before the general.
Trump controls the RNC, and if they give anyone money it'll only be the most extreme maga candidates who are likely to lose.
The cards are dealt, we just haven't laid them down yet.

I mean, to be perfectly honest the DNC shouldn't have any money to give any candidates...
It's just they inherited a shit ton from the Hillary/Biden/Kamala fund, which legally was a joint fund with the DNC and then got passed down between their campaigns.
So no candidate, not even presidential, will have something like that moving forward.
The money, was/is given to state parties, and they would be using that money for party operating costs and to work with campaigns post primaries.
But we shouldn't be worried about the lack of a "victory fund" next presidential. There's a certain point where having more money doesn't really help. The prior DNCs were just obsessed with dollar amounts, that's why they just kept throwing dinners with George Clooney. Anything they got in donations was used to generate more donations, but no one ever spent the money to get votes.
They just counted on the only other option being trump, and that's not a good strategy.
Looking at what Martin did in Minnesota and has been doing the last year and a half; his strategy is to run a fair primary, because that gets the candidate with the best shot of winning in the general.
However, it's still on the state parties on how they disburse the funds. Everything except the presidential is a state race, and with the return to a bottom-up DNC, it relies on people being active at local and state levels.
Because the DNC isn't going to fix your state.
If you're concerned about the 2028 presidential now, get involved in your state party now.
